Are you enthusiastic about Iowa history? Do you enjoy connecting with people and sharing engaging stories? The State Historical Museum of Iowa is looking for passionate individuals to join our docent program. Orientations are offered throughout the year to train new volunteers.
As a museum docent, you'll be at the heart of our visitor experience, guiding tours, leading discussions, and bringing our collections to life for guests of all ages. This is a unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge of Iowa’s past, develop public speaking skills, and contribute to your community.
