The Iowa Liquor Control Commission was created in March 1934 following the end of Prohibition. Following the reorganization of State government in 1986, a newly created Alcoholic Beverages Division of the Department of Commerce (RG 20) then assumed the responsibility to administer and enforce Iowa state laws concerning beer and alcoholic beverages.

Some or all of these records are available to search in the Iowa History Collections Catalog.
