Copy & Image Requests

The State Historical Society of Iowa provides copy and reproduction services for physical materials in the collections when physical condition and copyright permits. A special use fee is charged for high-resolution, digital reproductions of photographs and other materials in the collection. 

Copy Requests

Photocopies of most materials may be requested by visiting a Research Center or submitting a Reference Request to our online form.

After 75 copies, a $20.00 service fee will be charged for each additional increment of 75 copies with a maximum of 300 copies per request.

Image Requests

Digital image reproductions of photographs and other documents in the collection may be requested by submitting your request to the reproduction request form online.  Digital image files are delivered in a .jpg file format at 600dpi resolution. Please review the image reproduction guidelines document prior to submitting a request.  

Curator's Circle Members will receive $5 off each photographic image reproduction (up to 10 images per yearly membership).  When submitting your request please indicate you are a Curator's Circle Member.
