Are you a college student interested in public history or museum work? Save the date to join the State Historical Museum of Iowa for a morning of workshops focused on resume writing, cover letter writing, and career searching in public history.
Students will learn about how to read public history job ads, where to search for jobs, get feedback on your resume, and feedback on cover letters. This is a practical, hands-on morning for students at any stage of their college/graduate student career and provides students with the opportunity to work with public history professionals to prepare for the job market, network with other students, and get actionable feedback on their career materials.
