The Little House books by Laura Ingalls Wilder have sold millions of copies since their publication in the first half of the twentieth century. Despite Wilder’s enduring popularity, few know much about her Christian beliefs and practices. Register to join John J. Fry as he describes Wilder’s quiet faith and the way it is addressed in her life and writings. He will also consider how depictions of faith in the Little House books were shaped by her collaboration with her daughter Rose Wilder Lane. The presentation will also touch on the Ingalls family’s brief sojourn in Iowa during the 1870s.

The Iowa History 101 webinars share Iowa stories and the history of the state through a cultural history lens on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. Registration is required for each event and to receive a link to the recorded program.
