Description
This photograph shows logs being hauled on a sleigh by a team of horses near Seward, Alaska, in about 1900. The population of Seward, Alaska, was 534 people in 1910 and 2,693 in 2010. In 1900, the major industries in Seward were logging and fishing. Today, tourism is the major industry.
