Join Goldie’s Kids Club for a free guided tour of the Iowa State Capitol. This special tour will focus on the many different types of art found throughout the Capitol building. Following the tour, create your own paper mosaic masterpiece and explore the vast public grounds surrounding the building.
About the Historic Site: The Iowa State Capitol was built in 1886. The historic building and seat of power features a 275-foot gold-leafed dome and four smaller domes, marble grand staircase and woodwork. It also houses the Legislative and old Supreme Court chambers, Governor's office, law library and scale model of Battleship Iowa.

This program is recommended for children 8-12 years old and current members of Goldie’s Kids Club. Not a member yet? It’s free to sign up. Each child must be accompanied by at least one adult for the duration of the program.
