Allies in Advocacy Open House

The State Historical Society of Iowa is partnering with the Iowa Developmental Disabilities Council for its "Allies in Advocacy" Open House 4:30-6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the State Historical Building, 600 E. Locust St. in Des Moines. Attendees can visit the "Civics in Action" exhibit, which includes the story of Mia Peterson who was a national advocate for people with developmental disabilities.
