Join Sara Egge, the Claude D. Pottinger Professor of History at Centre College, as she discusses some of the landmark scholarship about gender in Iowa's history. We'll examine several topics, including how gender shaped interactions among diverse peoples in Iowa's earliest years, played a central role in rural small towns, and influenced the emergence of activism for causes like temperance, woman suffrage and civil rights.
